Cut heating costs by fitting insulation with exterior cladding
With increased energy costs in the UK we all want to reduce our heating bills and make our homes more energy efficient.
Fitting exterior wall cladding can provide the ideal solution to insulate your home. Designed for use on all types of materials including brick, block, masonry and concrete, when fitted with standard insulation materials the BRE (British Research Institute) Green Guide gives PVC cladding an A+ rating*. Choosing cladding not only improves the appearance of your property but gives you extra insulation and the opportunity to save money.

PVC Cladding as an external wall insulation
External wall insulation involves fixing a layer of insulation material to the wall, then covering it with a cladding.
The advantages of external wall insulation using cladding:
- can be applied without disruption to the household
- does not reduce the floor area of your home
- renews the appearance of outer walls
- improves weatherproofing and sound resistance.
- fills cracks and gaps in the brickwork, which will reduce draughts
- increases the lifespan of your walls by protecting the brickwork
- reduces condensation on internal walls and can help prevent damp (but will not solve rising or penetration damp)
You may need planning permission - check with your local council.
You will require good access to the outer walls and it is not recommended if the outer walls are structurally unsound and cannot be repaired.
